Pay Day
Anniversary Edition

My copy of Pay Day is a new updated version of an old game that is published by Winning Moves Games. The board for the game, Pay Day, is a little different from most board games with its calender style layout of the board. The game is played by rolling the die and moving that many days ahead on the calender. The game is meant to simulate real life with each day offering a new bill, activity or even business opportunity. The game finishes when a pre-agreed number of months have been completed. When the time is up, the person with the most money is the winner. The age recommendation is 8 to adult and the game is simple enough that all kids will be able to play and have a fair chance at winning the game, even against adults. The game teaches cash handling skills, the risks of gambling and the idea behind buying and selling businesses for profit as well as borrowing money to invest even if the loan is unfortunately called a payday loan. The basic technique to winning is to take every Deal offered by borrowing money if needed. Chances are that you will unload the deal for cash before the time is up. If this technique is followed then chance plays a good part in who wins the game which can be a good thing if you have younger children playing. The rules are straight forward and only take up 4 easy to read pages. Only about 4 minutes reading and you can begin play. One of the great pleasures of dong a web site about board games is showing off the artwork included inside the game. Take a look at the pieces included in this game. Winning Moves included a brochure inside the box of their other products which I have scanned in. I have more than one board game site so please take a look at my other sites.
